Have used setmore for years for our barber shop, new interface as of July 2024 is terrible. The clients say the enjoy the update on their end but on the barbers end there's just a lot to look at and most of it seems useless, nothing is bold etc so all the words blend together it's hard to read, many steps now to click on& book for people,their phone numbers and personal info do not just pop up when you click them anymore, you have to search for everything. **Don't update 8-15-24**they made it more difficult and more "clicks" to get to where you want to go. I want to revert to the other version but there is no way to, I've asked. It looks nice but the functionality has gone down. I do "off hours booking" and my off hours don't show as greyed out anymore on my day view. I can no longer touch the widget to open app. So much more but I only have 500 characters.I have the paid version and there should be more options to justify the price. - Setmore Appointment Scheduling 2★
The customer service is fast, and that's the best thing I can say. Won't let you overlap appointments so is no good for a dog walker or anything like that. Has several bugs within the first few hours of use. Lots of details are overlooked that I don't care to try and explain, try it yourself and see if you don't believe me. The Setmore app lacks critical features that are available on the website. You're limited to an agenda view. The app has become somewhat unusable as well. While looking at a list of appointments, the list is constantly "refreshed" causing the list to jump around wildly for minutes at a time until it finishes. Edit: I absolutely will not contact your support team. I've reached out to your support team numerous times about various problems. Misleading. I paid for appointment confirmation texts to be sent to clients via SMS but the system doesn't do that. It only sends reminder texts. New appt texts aren't even an option even though that option is listed in the dang setting description! There's zero perk to paying for pro. Clients are NOT notified of new appointments made via SMS at all. Not an option. They are only sent an email when they make a booking. - Setmore Appointment Scheduling 2★
They make you pay without a trial which I didnt mind, until I did and the main feature they advertised that I signed up for doesnt work. The feature I needed was to create recurring classes that can be booked. The feature doesnt work, and no one has gotten back with me from the development within almost three days. Im canceling today. Setmore works as a good scheduling service but absolutely do not pay for pro once you pay for pro you have to pay for staff to be able to see the scheduling with free you get 4users. Cool design, easy to use but have loads of functionality shortages.. I need to be able to add more than one service to an appointment...it doesn't seem to work when I try to add a pic to the service description as well..? Please help. Slow to load. I'm an Acuity user for 4+ years. Running on S25 Ultra so not a phone or connection issue. Occasionally logs me out if I happen to be logged in on desktop or a second phone simultaneously, not sure if this is app related or a Squarespace/Acuity thing. On the flip side, I do see added features which is novel, but not part of my day to day usage. But load time is the biggest annoyance with latest updates. - Acuity: Appointment Scheduling 2★
This app was fantastic until Squarespace started taking everything over. It's lost almost all of its functionality for me. I used to be able to take payments for any product through the app, now that's not an option. I used to be able to grab a link to our products and send it to people quickly, now that's gone. Basically all I can do is look at our calendar, do scheduling, and edit our services (why I can edit but not share products boggles my mind). - Acuity: Appointment Scheduling 2★
Unstable. occasionally I need to restart my phone or the app won't open. Annoying. The app also lagged now and again. Update: It's absolutely unbelievable how often this app freezes. I'm done restarting my phone twice a week to get this app to work. I'll use it online when I must. It's so frustrating. This app is only decent if you remember to catch every little glitch. They can happen 10 different ways. People can book outside of your set schedule once they find a glitch in the system. It's frustrating that the system isn't more intuitive and user friendly. I'm always worried someone will be able to schedule a service at time that's not even during my business hours cause it's happened 3x in a month. The app worked great until after my first client. The only reason I'm leaving stars is because as far as scheduling, I'm good (knock on wood, I've seen some of the other recent reviews) but I struggle w/ every single customer trying to cash them out. This app does not function correctly: It says I have no scheduled meetings for the day most of the time and when they do show up, if I click on it the app force closes. You cannot access direct links for appointments so I have to wait until I can log in on my laptop just to send out a link. Also, when you try to report the problem through the app, it tells you to shake your device. I have a Google Pixel 3 and shaking didn't do anything. Been w Acuity long before this app came along. Having the app, I thought, would be more convenient than connecting via browser, but the app itself is rather buggy. Today, for example, if a client hadn't called to notify me of a schedule change, I wouldn't know it. It's been hours since the change, yet the app still displays the old schedule. Not good at all. I have been using this app for almost 2yrs and I've been very pleased. The new app update is horrible!! It opens on the wrong day and once you open an appt it remains stuck on that screen. We have the paid plan, but were very disappointed with the new branding update. Calendly can use whatever brand colors they want, but shouldn't force them on all clients. Your bright neon event colors clash with our firm's brand colors. Especially for embedded scheduling on a website or in an email, it just looks loud and tacky. Calendly should at least include some neutral color options for event scheduling (white, grey, black). Not happy with this app. Found it difficult to use. I couldn't adjust time slots. An appointment for thirty minutes had to be scheduled as two fifteen minute blocks. I think its absurd to be charged extra for text notifications that I can't edit bc the texts never include the Zoom link for the meeting, which should be a standard feature. paying for a service that doesn't give the client the Zoom link for the meeting is dumb. Can't edit it til after 60 days. fix this feature or wait time & I'll raise my rating. clients are also having issues with getting emails and texts with different appointment times. Every release comes with bugs. right now there is a big where i can't scroll to the bottom to see further appointments booked. The viewing of booked appointments now doesn't automatically roll into the next day. I have to manually click on the next day my self. I would like a way to overide the availability checker if I want to double book. I've been trying to reschedule a client by 30 minutes but I can't because their original appointment is blocking the time slot. App UI has Gotten Worse over time. It's more difficult to book an appointment now then it was 2 years ago. Now the app doesn't load properly. I have to pick the time zone EVERYTIME I create an appointment for example. Takes forever to do anything in the app and I can't even cancel an appointment without pushing 5 or 6 inputs. CANNOT BOOK 24/7... I run my spa business from noon until 2AM, so my clients need to be able to book 1-hour appointments up until 1:00 AM. But this app will not allow my clients to book past 9PM. What is going on? I've been trying for the past week to figure this out, and I'm getting to the point of not using this app at all. Good app, but it needs a lot of changes. I provide a service that requires consent forms to be signed,but with this app, the forms are sent to the customer AFTER they book leaving me to chase them down to complete them before their upcoming appt. This problem would be eliminated if the forms were completed BEFORE booking is finalized. Also, it would be much better to be able to view your calendar by the month vs the day or week. I have an android, but i know others with the apple app and it's not charging tax at checkout. if I go in the other square app tax works fine. I can't send reminder messages, or set up a set reminder. I would like to view the calender by the whole week not day and month. repeat appointments would be nice. On top of collecting pretty sizeable processing fees from credit card transactions, they now charge $30/mo for full functionality of their booking app. It feels like extortion. I switched to Square because PayPal had high fees, but no free booking app. I felt like the booking app was a fair trade off. Now, I might as well be using Google calendar for my appointments. What happened to this app??... i used to love it, was very functional at one point. My clients are no longer consistently getting appt notifications, even when they do not it shows as "confirmed". Also, When creating a new contact from my address book it shows a generic phone number as opposed to pulling the number from the contacts as it used to before, so just to be safe i enter their number manually. I've been using this app for 3 years for my business and employees with no problemsat all.. until........ Every since the update the app no longer works. I offer online booking only for my business and now after the update the app no longer shows me when a client books. It won't let me block off time on our schedules for breaks. It won't let me book clients on my end. Constantly showing an error message when using the app now. Very upset and disappointed that this app no longer works. Fix it
