I love the concept, and if the app was reliably saving my data (check marks), it would be near perfect in it's simplicity and use. BUT.... I've noticed repeatedly that I'll check items off and then a couple days later, those same check marks are gone. Not all check marks on all tasks, but definitely some are disappearing after the fact. Which defeats one of my key goals of looking back over time to see how I'm doing. - Loop Habit Tracker 2★
Some of the habits alarms/notifications simply don't appear. I've one that's set for 7 days a week on all 7 days at 7.30am & not a single reminder appears. Have checked settings, etc, and can find none that suggest it might affect this app. Have contacted developer a number of times now and no response at all. Cannot rely on app if reminders randomly cease to work. Tried deleting the offending habit & recreating but still doesn't work. Will probably look for a different app that you can rely on. - Loop Habit Tracker 2★
Missed opportunity. This app is so close to being great, but has some silly limitations that could easily be addressed: It assumes targets are always higher than the current value. This obviously doesn't work for losing weight, for example if you weigh 80kg and your target is 70kg it things you've hit the target. It also doesn't differentiate between types of unit. There is no sensible way to put in a time value, for example if you are tracking the time you woke or slept. All values are 0-100. - Loop Habit Tracker 2★
Bottom line: I'm moving on to HabitNow! There are things in this app that just don't make sense. All you have to do is read the FAQ answer for how to set up a habit that occurs on specific days, and you'll start to get the idea that the creators put minimum effort into the app. Following my weight metrics and trying to achieve a goal just made no sense. None of the charts or graphs were especially useful, and the data they showed didn't make much sense. - Loop Habit Tracker 2★
Widget colour stays in an ugly dark greyxolour. Tried to change widget opacity from the app but it won't work. Why dont you allow it to have colours? Different colours for different tasks even in the widget. I actually believe a better widget would be to have the streaks to be seen on it just the way the app shows. Will be a constant reminder even when we don't open the app. - Loop Habit Tracker 2★
The widgets don't work consistently for android devices. The history and frequency widgets are very useful to display on a main page, but sometimes they let you shrink them down to 2x1, and other times it makes you keep them at least 1x2. I have no idea why it does this, but it makes it a pain any time I want to swap out the habits I have on my main page (like now at the new year) as I can't do so without completely redoing the page layout. Having good widgets is an absolute must for a habit app - Loop Habit Tracker 2★
All of the widgets only work for a few minutes and then say "error drawing widget." This makes the app unusable for me as i want to be reminded of my habits right from a widgit and not have to open the app. Its also a bit strange that the history widget is laid out with days on the side instead of along the top like a traditional calendar would be but not a problem at at all, just took some getting used to (while the widgit worked that is) - Loop Habit Tracker 2★
It's okay. Promising. But missing a lot of flexibility. Each entry should allow for repeating X number of times in X (day, week, month, even year). And each entry should allow for whatever # of reminders user deems necessary with ability to change snooze interval right in the notification bar. I was so hopeful downloading this due to screenshit showing different kind of repetition but it was extremely limited , so must uninstall. (Also, chain prederable to tick marks, like Habit Bull.) - HabitNow Daily Routine Planner 2★
When the app works, it works well and does the job. But often my alarms stop working out of nowhere despite the entry still existing. So I don't get notifications on time, which is troublesome for medication and I don't know why. Also, some old entries from years ago that I deleted before show up again out of nowhere. I have a Xiaomi, if that matters. It's the only app that does this. - HabitNow Daily Routine Planner 2★
Not very useful, unfortunately. I tried just adding habits for my morning and evening routines, at first, and they can't just be added by putting "routine" in, thus using 1 out of my 5 custom slots, because it won't let me add "routine" to my schedule twice a day. At this rate, I can't use the app enough for free, to know what it would be like to pay. Only 3 more slots won't help me as much as carrying a post it note. The app is pretty and I couldn't find a privacy policy or terms of service. - HabitNow Daily Routine Planner 2★
Edit: still don't have a way to change my "default" alarm tone without a third party app, and I'd still like to set different tones and reminders per task. Second edit: all the notifications and alarms seem to happen either regularly three minutes late, or, if I haven't turned on my phone screen in a while, as late as 4 pm for a 9 am reminder. The battery and notification settings are all set so this should not happen. Going to have to try something else. - HabitNow Daily Routine Planner 2★
It beautifully displays, tracks, and reports all of my important habits that I want to develop. Unfortunately, it doesn't have an option to set recurring tasks - things that I need to do regularly, but that aren't necessarily vital to my personal development. I paid for the full version, but actually stopped using it because I don't like that it won't differentiate between a habit and a recurring task. Looking for something to better suit my needs ... - HabitNow Daily Routine Planner 2★
It only allows tracking daily habits. There's no support for other time periods such as weekly habits. I've reached out by email. I'll update this review if a solution is provided. However I've triple checked and I don't see any way to track weekly habits. Update: there seems to technically because way to accomplish it, but it's really poorly designed, not intuitive at all. - HabitNow Daily Routine Planner 2★
Not really happy with it, sorts like it wants to not me. - doesn't have sort as entered - doesn't have press and sort feature It's annoying for habits not to be listed in order that I do them daily(or enter them). I deleted all & reentered as desired in the other category still ordered them wrong. This is day one, I'll be back in a few days change rating or delete app and leave rating, I'll see. * Guess habit now didn't read my review. Added just now, I deleted all & reentered in the other category, number 1, 2, 3, etc. so sort in alphabetical order and it worked. Tested by changing habit 5 to the finance cat and it put it at top, even though it's # was 5 and sort was alphabetical. :( - HabitNow Daily Routine Planner 2★
I've been using this app for a month now. For the most part it works well, love the checklist function and reminders. But I am trying to establish routines so I need to tweak my schedule sometimes. I wish there was an option to move or reschedule recurring tasks around, and the ability to duplicate them so I'm not starting from scratch each time I need to add something new. Could be more user friendly and organized, it's been very frustrating to use at times. - HabitNow Daily Routine Planner 2★
I paid for the premium version, but I find it very chaotic. If you update an entry, then you can't see the previous entries anymore as they get archived in a different file. Also I find the colour of the completed activities very confusing as I cannot change the tick to a colour I want, so I can't work out what days I completed the habits by looking at the calendar as there are 3 different colours. It's very complicated and confusing. - Habit Tracker - HabitKit 2★
Attractive interface, but it's not helpful when tracking habits that are not daily ones. With a different tracker (albeit not as fun looking) I'm able to set how many times per week or month I want to keep up with something ...then it fills the days in between completed checkmarks with hollow checkmarks instead of X's to show I'm on a streak when I've met my goal. With Habitkit, the days I don't need to complete the habit are just left blank (no streak for you!). It's very demotivating. - Habit Tracker - HabitKit 2★
Can't track habits in fractions. Example; slept 7.4 hours, weigh 164.3lb, ran 6.7 miles, etc. Also can't track habits by time spent. You can count by a vague number that you can remember on your own is time/pages/whatever. But it would be nice if it let me set my own custom unit name (Times, time, pages, miles, etc) as well as let me record decimal points instead of just whole numbers. - Habit Tracker - HabitKit 2★
It's very pretty, but the full goal statement doesn't show on some pages and counting the streak is behind a pay wall. Probably good for visual learners, but I'm just looking for a list of my goals with a streak count. I'm willing to pay if I can sample the basic features, but I can't here. - Habit Tracker - HabitKit 2★
a good concept but without one glance tap widget, within days, I'll stop opening the app all together even when I am doing my tasks. so basically it will become useless. well it has that feature but it's a paid one so... I can't really pay. I'm poor - Habit Tracker - HabitKit 2★
OMG I don't know how to start, but this app COULD BE PERFECT. The only thing it's missing, it's being able to create an account and save your progress in different devices that syncs automatically and not just the export/import option (that only works when you're gonna change devices once, and it's manual) that it's really annoying and discouraging. If it wasn't for that, I'd rate this app 10 stars!!! - Habit Tracker - HabitKit 2★
Becomes overwhelming as you stack habits and add more to the tracker... No way to group habits or make things simpler. The graphs aren't very clear, annoying how you have to scroll through before the week to see inputs etc. After adding 5 habits it got out of control for me, which prevented me from using it. Cancelled subscription, shame there's no streamlined options for this tracker. - Habit Tracker - HabitKit 2★
The developer said a year ago that he is working on a solution of automatic data backup. But it is not here yet. I don't know what is he working on. This a critical feature for an expensive app. If you buy and keep your habits tarcked and one day if your device breaks or lost you lose all your stats. Can't stress enough to have an automatic backup system. I will cancel my subscription if there is no update regarding this. And I should ask everyone not to buy if this is not implemented. - Habit Tracker - HabitKit 2★
Paywall for widgets. App looks nice enough but a little rough around the edges. In the 3 minutes I explored the app I was served a pro conversion prompt 5 times This app has some potential, but at the moment it doesn't provide anything that isn't served better by Loop Habit tracker. - Habitica: Gamify Your Tasks 2★
Great idea in theory but lacking in execution. It starts out fun but then lacks incentive for you to keep going, as there's not many skills to learn, quests are insignificant, grindy, and boring, and there's barely any character customization options. They should also implement some sort of story mode along with random events to increase engagement. I'm already level 18 and will stop using the app soon. There's not much more to discover other than collectibles and microtransactions. - Habitica: Gamify Your Tasks 2★
I'm a breath away from uninstalling this app again. Half the time it doesn't even do what it's supposed to do, some things it doesn't even let you do inside the app, you have to go to the actual browser version to do it. On that subject, the mobile browser is beyond awkward, no chance of navigating it properly! If I'm supposed to log into an actual PC just to check off that I did a workout or washed dishes, forget it. Right now the only reward I get is having my good mood ruined; certainly not worth it. - Habitica: Gamify Your Tasks 2★
If you're looking for a to do list or a way to schedule your day this works fine, but as an RPG game type way of doing that its lacking. Almost everything costs gems, which can only be bought or won extremely rarely in competitions, including quests, most pets, all food items for pets, etc. There's not much you can do RPG wise for free in this app, so if thats what you're wanting, I wouldn't bother unless you're willing to pay for those features over and over again. - Habitica: Gamify Your Tasks 2★
*Just discovered this app doesn't work offline so you can't track anything or update it on vacation, traveling, etc. I'm really enjoying this app for helping me to keep track of some nutritional and health habits. However I can't figure out how to set goals that have to happen a certain number of times per week. It only lets you pick specific days. How do I do this? Like something has to happen only three times a week and it doesn't matter which days. - Habitica: Gamify Your Tasks 2★
Great concept, but riddled with bugs. Sign up was horribly difficult, with the servers not responding and the app failing to realize I was trying to change my username and display names. App reset at around 7:00 pm, instead of at midnight of my time zone, which I had double checked beforehand. I want to like it, but this is becoming downright frustrating. - Habitica: Gamify Your Tasks 2★
Great game until you have one bad day and essentially if you lose all your health they take away a level, all your equipment and gold. Pretty bad game mechanics, made me feel so bad I honestly just deleted it there. The game is suppose to be made to support you but really is made to work hard to get nothing and if you slip up you get it all taken away. Don't use if you are even slightly sensitive!!!!!
