Used to work. Not anymore. Can't edit the text box in templates, old or new email campaigns. Rolled back to previous version. ALL versions affected, apparently. Old, new, doesn't matter. This tells me it's a broken dependency somewhere. My Android system is factory reset, fresh, and up-to-date on the same Galaxy S7 that worked just fine before. I don't know what's broken, what changed, what to fix or how to fix it, what to do to work around. Sent an email to support. No reply yet. - Mailchimp Email Marketing 2★
Contact import needs improvements!!! Search, Contacts where i have "," in the surname because i like to include short comments are not correctly imported, adresses always look like this "Address(street-BUILDINGNUMBER STREETNAME" but no city name etc even though I have it in the Google Contacts. If a contact can't be imported the error only shows the number of failed contacts but no names to easily find & fix. Only 3 most recently used tags are shown. can't delete/rename tags to stay organized. - Mailchimp Email Marketing 2★
So far I haven't had a great experience with this app! I hoped to be able to create an email list via my mobile. I ended up doing all of my work on the Mailchimp website... which is also very difficult to navigate! You really need access to a PC...it is near impossible to modify templates via mobile. Not possible to write emails at all via the app. Not for me anyway. All was not lost, I did manage to create a Welcome Email and also created a signup link. Any attempt to create an email was abandoned after the fifth go. Everything works, albeit clumsily up until you actually edit / create a campaign. The first text box turned into an endless scroll of "start typing" and it was impossible to progress further. Incredibly frustrating. The app is okay I guess. The major problem I have is when I attach links to photos they never save properly. I'm having to go in and out of the app multiple times and attach the link for it to finally save properly. Hello, Your app is still broken after my phone did a software update. I updated the app this morning, and it is still doing what it was doing after my phone updated. I submitted a message through the link that you provided in my last review Explaining that the templates, and work progress is not saving in the mobile app. I go into the app and edit a template to include the images and text that I want to send, And when I go to send it it reverts to some nonsense latin email. I've used this app for a few years now and it's been mildly frustrating, especially when attempting to insert links (it takes several tries and then you need to force quit and reopen to send). But, now I can no longer edit or type into any templates. I can click a field and a box appears but nothing is actually selected or opened. I've tried force quitting and coming back in. Finally an email app that I can block spam emails right off the bat! I used to get SO many junk emails - most go to trash now with no problems to me. GREAT app! Update - I've lowered my rating, as the app has been intermittently decided my inbox is empty, even when I know I have mail in it, only to reappear later. Update: It was too good to last. The fatal flaw is driving me up a wall. The notification that you have an email essentially gives you three options: deleting the email, swiping away the notification, or reading the email. deleting the email works when it wants, swiping works just fine, but clicking the notification to read the email is a no-go. If I click the notification to open the email, the app will launch but the email is nowhere to be found. Sometimes it will surface in the Trash. Sometimes it is just plain gone. And since deleting only works when it wants to, I have to filter through about half of my old emails again. The work-around is just doing everything only on the app, but that entirely negates the convenience of easy sorting, deleting, or reading that I was looking for. Boo. Back on the market for a new app. Original post: At last, a single swipe to delete an email! That's all I ever wanted. It's also extremely fast in updating. I've never had to manually refresh my inbox looking for an expected email - they pop up right away. Please fix issue from latest update. I have tried A LOT of email apps and this is by far the best. However, since the latest update a few days ago, when I swipe to delete messages in the inbox, it will unpredictably delete a message one or two rows down instead. It's an ok email collection app. Is has one big flaw, and I don't understand how they can't fix it. I receive alerts that new emails have arrived in my inbox, however when I open the app it has to download each item. Even though I already read the into and I know basically what was in the email. This makes checking your email EXTREMELY cumbersome and slow. The emails should just download in the background like other apps. I like everything about this app except for one major nuisance regarding email attachments. I sync three accounts using your app. When I download an attachment and try to open it, an error pops up saying the file can't be opened because its size is zero, regardless of size or extension. If I download and open it using other email apps, like Gmail, everything works fine. Please reply with a fix and I'll be happy to change the rating to a perfect 5! Used this for a long time. However for the passed couple months I've noticed that some emails tend to vanish and come back on their own. This has been an issue because if I order food ahead of time and I need the email for the barcode/code I'm at the place sitting and waiting for the email to "come back" after I had gotten a notification that I had gotten it. This has been my email app for years, but I'm considering looking for a new one. More & more & MORE bloatware features keep on getting added, causing more & more bugs and issues. My archive is stuffed with 500 emails I never added, and they pop right back up after "deleting" them. Edit: Its an awesome for the most part, but then I find out that you have to manually enter settings for custom mail servers. If you try to use the detect settings function, it fails to put in the proper settings so it fails authentication no matter what you do. Update: had to uninstall and went back to Outlook due to issues described. Original: I have to delete messages several times before they'll go away, and there's no refresh option (as far as I can tell) and messages are delayed. It's a cool concept but the problem with threading emails as people is with promotional emails, some I want, some I don't (i.e. "your order has shipped" vs "save 10%") and it's too easy to delete every single message, and too cumbersome to delete just some of them. - Spike: AI Email & Team Chat 2★
This app has a really slick interface. Unfortunately, it loads external email images by default, and I didn't see any way to disable it. If there is a setting somewhere it should be simpler to find and definitely not load external images by default. I didn't check to see what it does with return receipts, but I didn't see an option for that there either. Not being able to disable things like this will likely increase spam and allow email tracking. Why are you now trying to force me to upgrade? I only need the free version. There is a message when I try to open the app now wanting to me have a 7-day trial update that I can cancel. The only way to get into the app is to do the trial and cancel which I have done several times and still can't open the app without this message. Requires payment when it advertised it was free . Says you can get free portion if you opt out of something but it doesn't allow you to find that or show you without required payment information. Spike was my go to after Inbox by Google. 'Archive' rarely works on the first try and there is no 'copy' in the Android app. I quit because of an email they sent. Unfortunately, I cancelled the day after my renewal. I've been paying for years so they won't refund me, but they've also kicked me out of access to the paid features in the app and have asked for feedback an unreasonable number of times. The app looks laggy, choppy and overall not too good. It's hard to find some features, and the intro is also really laggy. The dark mode is too dark, please add a Dark and a Black mode. Also CC's show all names, it's terrifying. I really would like to love this email client, it's better than gmail in many ways but: 1. the starred and unread emails can be so easily overlooked. There are no stars whatsoever and unread emails are only marked with a tiny dark-blue dot (almost invisible in the dark theme). 2. you can't select your default alias. I wish these issues was addressed. Other than that, it's a beautiful app, I love the dark theme that effects even messages and html emails.
