Was good... now it's declining. I kinda liked the new look, it is a "use it or loose it type of thing" and the more you use you won't loose it. However my issue comes when programming is an issue, ie.. the landing page. I clearly place my punch in and out page to be my loading page. Now the app will not follow the request. You now have to loose valuable time to log in and search for the punch in. works for the employer not the employee who just needs a time clock. - Paycom 2★
I would like to thank my company that switched from UKG over to this app. One of my company's reasons to switch over was to hold workers accountable for them to punch in and out on their time clock. If they miss a punch, they would have to submit a claim for that lost punch. But unfortunately, this app and the desktop kiosk version of this app, tends to not record when I clock in or out. Also this app is very slow even when on Wi-Fi. Please replace Iwant AI with a glossary. - Paycom 2★
It errors frequently. I often have to login 2-3 times before it accepts a punch. Also, the new update no longer takes you straight to the punch in/out screen. When you login, you have to click "employee self service" (there are no other options from there so it's pretty redundant) and THEN to the login screen. It adds unnecessary steps and wastes time (especially annoying since it's what tracks your time). - Paycom 2★
It's too weighty and lethargic. It takes too long to open. It staggers & stammers. I just now had to click "in from lunch" three times before it took it. It'll report that your location cannot be taken and you're left wondering "so GPS it already!" and you'll have to x out of th second layer to get to th first screen where you can then click 'refresh' to make it register. This app may work flawlessly in metropolitan areas, but in most places in th US, both th cellular services or th internet, is - Paycom 2★
The app was working great until recently. I opened it up one day and the fingerprint sign-in failed to initialize. The same thing had continued to happen. It's inconvenient since the nearest available sign-in kiosk from the employee entrance is across the building. Thankfully, the building is small enough and my company has a 5 minute grace period, so I haven't been signing in late. Every time I log-in to Paycom, I have to input a PIN, which isn't in itself a chore, but on desktop, I need to enter a username, password, and SSN, which seems arbitrary and redundant, especially on a private computer. In the app, there is a permanent messages notification from a supervisor, and there is no way to make the notification go away. I press the message icon, the message appears on screen, and I navigate away, the message notification returns every time. It's a visual nuisance. - Paycom 2★
Wish it would offer more logical and intuitive things like a time drop down so you don't have to manually type every number of the time you mean as well as am/pm. Additionally, there is only "Request time off" when that might not be what I want to do and I want to SEE time off I've already requested, so that doesn't make sense. We have over 40 employees and roughly 30% have login issues. Location is enabled, but app refuses to let them clock in. Some people cannot login with username and password that I personally set for them (says it's wrong when it's not). Time theft made easy with remote employees that can't clock in, and we have to take their word on when they came in and left. Hate this app. - QuickBooks Workforce 2★
I've been using this app to sign in/out of work since 8/2025. No issues. Then about a month ago (3/26) it stopped working for me, saying my locations were turned off though they were on. I've tried uninstalling/ reinstalling with no success. I called support and they gave me a temporary link to use while they figure it out. Now, that isnt working. It seems to be only me and one other coworker. We have Androids while everyone else has Apple. EDIT: I've tried ALL your recommendations to fix it. - QuickBooks Workforce 2★
This app was actually pretty good until an update this week. This is one of the worst updates in the history of software. The UI is worse, it takes more steps to do anything. To see your timesheets you have to click on each individual day. They removed the ability to easily add breaks. It is laggy now, when it was not before. I have yet to be able to clock out for a break, the app just says 'something went wrong' and clocks me out fully. Today it literally prevented me from clocking out. - QuickBooks Workforce 2★
Time entry on the Workforce version is horrid! We were using the QB Time app and it worked just fine, while not the best interface design, it was OK and simple. Now it's convoluted and is geared toward clock in/out tracking. Just entering x hours for a day seems to be buried layers deep. Even then there are annoying bugs, like prepopulated fields getting an error for being empty when they are not, forcing you to go in and pick it anyway... even when there is only one possible option. - QuickBooks Workforce 2★
It's ok... when I have access. Lately I've been getting kicked out and stuck in a constant battle of signing in. I've had to reinstall several times, which is really irritating. There also appears to be a disconnect with Location. My gps is on, but it keeps telling me it's off or cannot connect. Maybe a little more Android support will help resolve these issues. Constantly have to log back in with the app and the web browser. Never stays logged in, even when disabling putting the app to sleep or auto closing it in phone settings. Most times when logging in you have to put in your email and password, then your fingerprint, then your password or fingerprint AGAIN. It's very annoying when trying to quickly switch or modify time on the go. Especially when you have to do this process several times in a day. I've been using this as an employee for almost a year now. We have to take photos of our work and upload them to the project but my phone has stopped uploading them. It started doing this months ago and we realized that my phone was taking a too large of a photo, so I had to change my photo settings to take lower quality photos, but even then I can only submit 2-3 a time. So many issues! It works but not without some annoying bugs. At times it won't sync to the main system so we have people clocked in but it won't show in the admin portal till the next day. We are spending time almost daily getting employees to double check the app and sync or update. It will always have a notification showing regardless of how often you clear it out. This app seems pretty accurate and I liked it just fine till a month or two ago when they tried adding more security. Now it constantly is locking, logging me out, deleting my login credentials, freezing while trying to log in. They need to do some major fixes or let us opt into more security.
