- Easy Notes - Note Taking Apps 2★
This has the potential to be such a great app, but not worth it for the price. The free version has too many ads, and the paid version is more than just a few dollars. When I write notes, it keeps reformatting them without my consent, which is super annoying and ruins the note. It seems like they spend their money on fancy backgrounds and fonts, but not enough on functionality and bugs. If they can fix the bugs, it would be an amazing app. - Easy Notes - Note Taking Apps 2★
It seemed very difficult to use. Have it installed for less than 48 hours. Paid for the monthly subscription. Thought $25 was too much to pay for the yearly subscription, since I did not know anything about the app at that time. Decided to uninstall. Too hard to figure out how to use the app. Lots of categories for you to put your notes and keep it separate from each other. The app did state if you uninstall within 48 Hours you will get a refund. Hopefully I will get that refund! - Easy Notes - Note Taking Apps 2★
It's a nice and easy note taking app, but it consistently has annoying ads after almost every little thing that you do like save, update, make new changes, save, and then it freezes, and it starts mass error message posting that it's not responding and if I want to wait or close the app, while it is responding and saving my edits and it keeps popping up. Even with updating it still does it, the freezing and the error message keeps doing the same thing. - Easy Notes - Note Taking Apps 2★
Just downloaded this free app to check out. Seems good, but then an ad popped up and it was very long! when that was over, another ad popped up and just stayed. I can't get back to my notes! yes, I choose the free app and understand there will be ads but 2+ minutes each time?! then every time I closed a note and before I could move onto another, another ad would pop up! really?! no thanks! - Easy Notes - Note Taking Apps 2★
Bought the premium version! Not worth it!! The app is buggy on Android (Pixel 9 XL) I will be writing a note in a certain color and font and then it will switch ruining the note. Also, if I get the color and font I want then add a check box list to it it will revert back to default after I typed everything out. The good reviews may be on other platforms certainly not android! I have screenshot the team with the bugs I'm experiencing. For now save your money! - Easy Notes - Note Taking Apps 2★
I would love to keep the app and use it at any given time but here's a few things you need to improve: 1. Less ads, the ads are what made me delete it. 2. Add password, make an option to add a lock optional. I needed it to write down stuff i don't what people to see. 3. Dark mode. I didn't have the app long enough to know for sure because of the ads. But dark mode is something I always look for in an app. One of my selling points. - Easy Notes - Note Taking Apps 2★
I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab S8+, and every time I would lock my screen, any notes that I had up were completely erased and no longer availability to save. In addition, it would blank the page, but show the saved document on the notes page. I went out of the way to spend on the VIP access and strongly regret it. This application is not worth it. If you have a Samsung device, please use the Samsung Notes. It does the same thing without the multiple background changes, but it's free without ads. - Easy Notes - Note Taking Apps 2★
I honestly enjoyed this app at first. You can highlight, italicize, and all that. What killed it for me was the fact that I had my long list of travel plans perfectly curated then I accidentally hit the list button and it screwed everything up. You can press the list button again to get rid of it, but then your bullets, highlights, bolded and italicized letters get all mixed up and jumbled around, it's so hard to fix. It happened to me so I spent a long while fixing it only to do it right again. - Freenotes - Notes Taking & PDF 2★
Edit: This app was initially great. It was completely free and had a ton of great features. After the new update however, they've added a subscription. A lot of what you could do before is now locked behind a paywall, like how many notes you can take and even layering. It's understandable to some degree but you can only have three notes it looks like and that's completely unrealistic for a student. - Freenotes - Notes Taking & PDF 2★
I rated 5 stars previously, but I'm sorry to say I have to take it off after they force subscription. I didn't give 1 star because it's still a great app, the export quality is tip top. I used to praise this app for being such a good note taking app while being free, but now users are used to it and were forced and baited to pay. Initially no ads but they added it, it's understandable, but now force pay? FREEnotes ain't free no more, change the name of your app! - Freenotes - Notes Taking & PDF 2★
Ok so this is an edited review of my older one where I used to thank you for making a free note taking app, but now it has Ads and 3 notes limit, like this doesn't make any sense with the name. I hope you address this problem and revert the subscription plan, at least if you want to make paid features don't make the notes limited because it's ridiculous. Thank you - Freenotes - Notes Taking & PDF 2★
In my take, I downloaded this app because it was easy to use and had a very good potential. But the thing is that this app Is Not Free even though the name is literally "Free Notes" and I have to pay to get unlimited pages which is very frustrating. But I guess the app is good but the payment is not as thrilling. - Freenotes - Notes Taking & PDF 2★
sincerely, what the hell is going on?? At first it was all free.. then you guys charged for ads.. then premium.. now ai.. Then all the templates are expensive as hell just to look like it came from canva? I already paid multiple time and was claimed as "pro user" then you snitched, treating me like i didn't pay a single cent for your app? Greed goes a long way man.. I really loved the app but the greed is too much.. - Freenotes - Notes Taking & PDF 2★
The amount of free content justifies the presence of ads, so I am completely fine with that. What bothers me is the removal of stationery items that used to be free, only to replace them with paid versions. If you want users to pay, give us a reason to. Bring advanced, smooth features similar to iOS apps version instead of locking old tools. Improve the app with better capabilities. - Freenotes - Notes Taking & PDF 2★
free until it isn't. used the app for a while and I love it. One day they introduce ads, you pay 13€ once, boom no ads anymore, fine. Now I need to pay for an 'unlimited' subscription or else it's no more new notebooks for me. Kinda feels like stealing... - Freenotes - Notes Taking & PDF 2★
Used to be one of my favorite notes app. But now they have also shifted towards "In app purchases". Atleast they could have just let PRESSURE SENSITIVE ERASER in the free plan but no they put this also in their purchase plan, every app offers pressure sensitive eraser in their freeplan eg : notein & etc. But they after naming their app "FREENOTES" have done this. Atleast, they would have thought for the students who use their app cuz every other app is PAID. DISAPPOINTED!! Pls make it free again - Microsoft OneNote: Save Notes 2★
Not very functional for people who want something that is an actual note-taking app. Pages seem to be infinite and move around way too much. I wish there was a way to freeze everything and make it like actual folders and notes that are organized. It's not very ADHD or autistic friendly in my opinion. Every time I try to use it it moves all around. I want it to scroll up and down and that's it. - Microsoft OneNote: Save Notes 2★
Update 5/12/26: it's working again, after a complete data wipe and reinstall but now forces me to login everytime I open the app, and the login process only works about 1/3 of the time. That, and between my notes shared with my wife, there always seems to be some type of page conflict that requires resolution on the desktop. Didn't have these issues years ago but seems to be getting slowly worse over time, which is odd for Microsoft. - Microsoft OneNote: Save Notes 2★
Any page used frequently will eventually have sync conflicts. Only the desktop web version can fix them. It always shows double versions that do not have any unsaved additions. There is no page to see all conflicts, so you only find them as you come across them - likely on while on the app. The app is slow to load, switch pages, and move drawings. The home page with recents stops working shortly after resetting the app, I don't like it anyways. I've sent bug reports but still no fix. - Microsoft OneNote: Save Notes 2★
Using a zfold 5 - I like Onenote but I dislike it very much on the zfold5. the app is plagued with multiple bugs, such as, app doesn't load notes correctly or the sync takes forever. I also can't create notes sometimes, which I suspect is due to a lock while it's syncing. essentially, everytime I need to use it or I get inspired to take notes it just fails for me. Furthermore, collapsing or opening notebooks with different section is impossible, the sections overlap each other. - Microsoft OneNote: Save Notes 2★
The autofill never works right, inputs the word you tap on but takes letters off the end of the word. Same with punctuation, you click on one and it either doesn't add it or it gets put in the wrong place. Placing the cursor in a spot is near impossible and very frustrating. It's been bad for many years across many Galaxy models. Terrible product! - Microsoft OneNote: Save Notes 2★
Love OneNote, but what the heck is with this last update?? Ever since the "to do" check boxes tuned to circles, it's incredibly slow. Like a second or two delay between typing letters. Also, syncing between two different accounts and devices is very buggy. Sometimes someone won't see updates or it will overwrite newer updates on the other person's phone. - Microsoft OneNote: Save Notes 2★
A once solid application, now just awful. Recent updates have made this basic NOTE TAKING application to be extremely slow and buggy. I'm experiencing lag while just typing. Also, notes often don't get saved or are very difficult to find right after you've created them. Sorting by created date does not work. I frequently get errors stating I need to log in on a separate device due to sync issues. OneNote, I'm done. I'm switching to a more competent note application. - Microsoft OneNote: Save Notes 2★
I hate the "container" system anyway, most of us just want to type text, but it's made even more infuriating by the fact that the formatting doesn't stay consistent between devices. A note taken on Windows will, on mobile, appear half off-screen, hugely zoomed out, and/or a very thin and long paragraph of text with about three words in each line. It makes syncing pointless. I've never seen another note taking app struggle with something this basic. - Google Keep - Notes and lists 2★
I've used this app for nearly a decade now. Everything is nearly the same as when I first started using it, except one thing: autocorrect. This app does NOT have autocorrect on my S23 Ultra, and hasn't for a couple years now. It's infuriating because if I'm typing anything fast, it's a mess at the end, and I have to go back and fix everything. Autocorrect works everywhere else on my phone except Keep, and it's one of the things that's pushed me more to Notion lately. - Google Keep - Notes and lists 2★
I used to enjoy this app, I used it all the time for a daily to-do list and would schedule it to pop up in the mornings so I don't forget. Now for whatever reason whenever you schedule something, it automatically creates a separate copy to your Google calendar app. I only discovered this when on top of my notes app notification, I also got one on my calendar app, my desktop, my tablet, and my laptop all pinging notifications of the "planned event" You also cannot disable this feature. - Google Keep - Notes and lists 2★
I like the app a lot and have used it for years. Recently however the search function appears to be broken. When trying to search for key words, the app will not show results correctly. I have tested this on various notes and the success/failure rate appears to be random. Sometimes it can't find words in the title and sometimes it can't find words in the body of the note. Other times, it finds key words correctly in either title or body. If this is fixed, I'd give the app a solid 4/5 stars. - Google Keep - Notes and lists 2★
I liked the notes better on my old phone. I don't like that when I set up a check list, my checked off items just disappear. I wish the checked items would just looked crossed through or a lighter color text. it gives a sense of accomplishment, seeing what got done, rather than worrying if I just erased my to do list (I use it daily at work so I use the same list daily) - Google Keep - Notes and lists 2★
I use Google Keep A LOT and have saved MANY notes over the past decade - some are quite long. So it's very frustrating when I search my notes for a specific word and it gives me all the notes that contain that word, BUT when I open each note, the word doesn't remain highlighted. That makes it VERY HARD to find. It needs to keep the searched word highlighted in each note or at least allow me to search within each of those notes again and let me jump to each highlighted occurrence in that note. - Google Keep - Notes and lists 2★
I used to love this app! But over time it's just gotten slower and worse. As of 5/15/26 it's more hassle than it's worth. When I make a list with check boxes the longer I type on a single item, the laggier the typing gets. And the character limits on items make very little sense. Text is cheap to store, and while I know you don't want people encoding movies to upload in plaintext, it could easily be 4x the current limit without triggering that concern. It's incredibly frustrating.
